Peer Review Process
Every manuscript submitted to Anshara Business Review is evaluated through a double-blind peer review process: reviewers do not know the identity of the authors, and authors do not know the identity of the reviewers.
1. Initial screening
The editor checks each submission for fit with the journal's focus and scope, compliance with the author guidelines, and similarity using Turnitin. Manuscripts with a similarity index above 20% or outside the scope are returned to the authors or rejected without external review. Screening is normally completed within one week.
2. Double-blind review
Manuscripts that pass screening are sent to at least two independent reviewers with relevant expertise. Reviewers are given up to four weeks to submit their reports. If the two reports disagree substantially, the editor invites a third reviewer.
3. Editorial decision
Based on the reviewers' reports, the Editor-in-Chief makes one of the following decisions: accept, minor revision, major revision, or reject. The decision and the reviewers' comments are sent to the corresponding author.
4. Revision
Authors are asked to submit a revised manuscript together with a response to each reviewer comment, normally within two to four weeks. Revised manuscripts may be sent back to the reviewers.
5. Time to decision
The time from submission to first decision is normally six to eight weeks.
Submissions from editors
Manuscripts authored by an editor or a member of the editorial team are handled by another editor who has no conflict of interest, and the author has no access to the review of their own manuscript.
Appeals
Authors who wish to appeal a decision may write to the Editor-in-Chief through the Contact page, explaining the grounds for the appeal.
